Refinery Waste Treatment

Iron Creek Group offers a revolutionary approach to treating refinery sludge using two advanced thermal conduction technologies. These proven technologies delist hazardous waste, eliminate future environmental liability, and significantly improve health and safety in the waste treatment process.

Scope of Methodology: Eliminating Hazardous Waste Inventory

TecZero and Enhanced Thermal Conduction (ETC) technologies provide refineries with effective, innovative methods to delist hazardous wastes, recover higher-grade oils, and recycle safe, usable by-products from the treatment process.

Treating Hydrocarbon Sludge with TecZero™

Refinery sludge is fed into our patented TecZero infrared thermal desorption units. The material is indirectly heated, and the vapors released from the sludge are captured and used to fuel the treatment process. This efficient, one-step secondary manufacturing process produces two valuable outputs:

  1. Higher-grade oil that can be directly piped back into refinery production.

  2. Sterile, safe residual solids that can be sold to cement processing plants or safely disposed of.

TecZero’s streamlined one-step process meets stringent regulatory requirements, delisting the material. Treatment eliminates the risk associated with trucking or transporting hydrocarbon contaminated waste to landfills. Our process is safer and more cost effective than ‘dig and dump’ methods.

When you partner with Iron Creek Group to treat refinery waste, you eliminate the problem and remove associated risk.

Safety is Our Number One Priority

Our technology is designed to meet the most rigorous regulatory standards because we understand the biggest liability to site remediation is human health and safety. Our stringent protocols protect human and environmental health, and ensure an incident-free job site.
