PFAS Remediation
Iron Creek Group has been actively engaged with U.S. Air Force & U.S. Navy teams, successfully conducting PFAS pilot projects since 2018.
PFAS Treatment
Per and PolyFluorinated Alkyl Substances (PFAS) are a group of highly-soluble, man-made chemicals that include PFOA, PFNA, PFOS, GenX, and many others that have been manufactured and used in a wide variety of industries around the globe since the 1940s.
PFAS are great at what they were designed to do; Keep moisture, grease etc out but they are also so stable they have been nicknamed the Forever Chemical. This name is earned because they do not break down on their own. PFAS chemicals are linked to human health issues including developmental effects, liver and immune system problems and increased risk of certain cancers.
Iron Creek’s Thermal Technology has Proven to Eliminate 99.999% of PFAS Chemicals
Our exclusive thermal treatment process utilizes conduction, convection, oxidation and vaporization to destroy the forever bond that holds the molecule together. Iron Creek is capable of handling small impacted surfaces as well as full-scale remediation of PFAS-impacted soil.
On-site cleanup
ETC, Tech Zero (our Hot Box) or the M1
All of these innovative technologies are designed to reach temperatures sufficient to destroy PFAS chemicals. Each is designed to be mobile, flexible and simple to operate. The technology utilizes heat to treat contaminated soil through conduction and convection to break the chemical bond and destroy the hazardous components. Each design incorporates a "core" heating system that can utilize propane, natural gas, or diesel. This energy efficient system produces a very low amount of exhaust gas, which is routed through air extraction ducts to an off-gas treatment system. It functions as a thermal oxidizer, destroying organic vapors at temperatures in excess of 1,800°C, or the vapors can be processed using vapor-phase granular activated carbon, which is then returned to the vendor for high temperature reactivation, thereby destroying the PFAS.
Iron Creek technologies introduce a safer, more efficient and effective solution for PFAS remediation than current conventional technologies.
