M1 Infrared Technology

Treat Highly Saturated Materials and Sludges

M1 is capable of treating soils/sludges contaminated with PFAS, pesticides, chlorinated solvents, PCBs, gasoline, diesel, heavy oils, PAH’s, and tars.

Efficient Infrared Heating Technology

Recover Valuable Resources While Eliminating Contaminants

The Infrared Thermal (M1-12) Technology utilizes infrared heating elements to heat contaminated soil. The innovative design of M1 allows for high-temperature treatment of soil without the use of moving parts. As the soil is heated, the vaporized contaminants travel along with the heating elements and out the M1’s exhaust port. The minimal exhaust from the M1 is able to be cooled and condensed—producing recovered, reusable materials.

M1 is proven technology that treats saturated materials and sludges.

M1 Infrared Technology

Benefits

Iron Creek Group’s proprietary TecZero™ technology effectively eradicates contaminants from soils and refinery sludge.

Here’s why it is the smarter option over conventional remediation treatments:

Rapid Batch Processing
Able to treat soils and sludges within 24 to 72 hours per batch
Simple Infrared Design
Infrared Thermal is a simple design – works via vapor pressures
Low-Maintenance Operation
Has no moving parts, does not require blowers or exhaust fans
Proven in Antarctica
Currently in operation in Antarctica with the U.S. National Science Foundation
M1’s mobile design can fit into the belly of an airplane making it easy to transport and safe to use in even the most extreme environments like Antarctica and the Arctic.

Frequently Asked Questions

Our systems are nimble and portable and can typically be deployed and operational within days, depending on site conditions. This process makes treatment much quicker than traditional remediation and dig-and-dump methods.
Our ETC mobile systems are agile enough to fit within the belly of an airplane. The TecZero™ bins are compact and nimble for shipping or trucking. Once set up, these thermal remediation treatment cells can scale to the size required to safely and effectively treat contaminated land.
In-situ methods require penetrating the soil with a thermal probe, potentially hitting subsurface layers and mixed contaminants that complicate the process. Our technology is ex-situ based, which is more reliable, effective, and affordable.
Our technology can fit into small urban spaces and scale large areas of land. It has treated contaminated superfund sites, brownfields, legacy oil fields, and more.
Yes, we designed our contaminated soil treatment process to eliminate landfill dependency, with a predictable process resulting in zero reject waste.
Yes, as long as the soil is impacted with organic contaminants, our technology can handle a range of materials without pretreatment.
Yes, we design all of our technology to meet or exceed the strictest environmental protocols.
